Tony McMillan Obituary

Tony (Hilton) James McMillan, 65, of Spragge, Ontario, passed away, peacefully on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Elliot Lake.

Tony was born January 24, 1957 in England, to Neil and Margaret (Bannatyne) McMillan. Anyone who knew Tony would say he had such pride in his work and truly enjoyed the pleasures in life. Tony was employed as a miner for many years, and was one of the region’s leading supervisors. He loved the outdoors, was an avid boater and spent most of his spare time fishing out on the lake and hunting on his treasured property. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dog (Sky) and friends.

Tony is survived by his son, Neil Raymond McMillan (Carissa) and two daughters Tracy Lee McMillan (Myron) and Rachelle Muhr (Chad); four grandchildren, Carson, Priscilla, Memphis and Brooklynn, his brothers Neil (Kate), Colin (Cheryl), Stuart (Lindsay) and sister Rhona (Etienne), lifelong friend Jane, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Neil Lang McMillan (1999) and Margaret H. McMillan (2002). Tony will be missed by his family members, friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of his Life service will be held at a later date.
