Sharon Rose May

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Rose May, age 72 years on September 12, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital.  Loving mother and best friend to Angela. Dear sister to Linda and Gary.  Best friend and caregiver, Sue and special friend Gary Boudreau who will miss her talks in the middle of the night. Sharon’s life was not easy one but she made a life of love and faith for her and Angela. She gave of herself to anyone who needed help.  Her smile would light up a room. 

Sharon was born in Nova Scotia on Oct 4, 1949. Her love for Nova Scotia never died.  Sharon was paralyzed in 2014. Again her life changed yet everyday she’d wake up looking for the good that day.  Angie stood by her in every way. Her kindness and empathy she shared with anyone who needed it even those that didn’t.  I’m glad we were able to take Sharon to Nova Scotia for the last 5 years. Angie would like to thank all the PSW's who helped take care of her mom.  Natasha, Robert, Priscilla, Vicky, Alysha, Kasey, Patty #1 and #2, Kathy and Dau. A special thank you to our angel nurses Liz and Navi. A big thank you to Dr. Britton-Foster and Conrad for taking care of our lady and for anyone I forgot, “Thank you”.  

A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Elliot Lake Fellowship Baptist Church, 20 Roman Ave, Elliot Lake.
