It is with great sadness we share that Sandy passed peacefully away on Monday July 11, 2022 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 61 years. Beloved wife and best friend of 37 years to Hamilton “Ham” Adams, he remained by her side to the very end. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Lillian Botham, siblings Cathy and Bruce Botham and her niece Stephanie. Sandy is survived by her dear brother Don Botham and nephews John and Jamie. Caring Stepmother of Cynthia (Eric) & Gerald (Candice), doting Grandmother to Amber, Nathan, Matteo, Lucas and Jacob. Aunt Sandy will never be forgotten by her my many nieces and nephews, the extended Adams/Conlin/Valley families and life-long friends will cherish her memory. Sandy was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley and has resided in the Elliot Lake area for the last few decades. A country girl at heart, Sandy enjoyed the tranquility of the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting with the love of her life, Hammy, and later, with their grandchildren. Adopting many dogs & cats she spoiled over the years, they were lucky to find a place in her home and heart. Sandy was passionate about antiques and her knack of finding vintage collectibles went beyond a hobby! Sandy is recognized as a pioneer woman in the antiques business in Northern Ontario, with her great eye & taste and is also known as a sweet lady that will be missed by the community. As per Sandy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, there is no funeral service scheduled at this time. Loved ones can remember her and honor Sandy in their own way, perhaps in the spring, her birth month, when her favorite yellow flowers are in bloom, think of Sandy. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
