MCKINNON, Ruth March 16/1935 - April 15/2024 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother Ruth McKinnon at St. Joseph's Manor in Elliot Lake at the age of 89. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence McKinnon, daughter Joanne McKinnon and grandson Lee Pelland. May you all rest peacefully together. She was a devoted loving mother, survived by her daughters Lynn (Don Durepos) predeceased, Lisa (Al Provincial) and Kelly (Mike McLean). Ruth will be sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many close nieces, nephews and friends. A Very Special Thank You to the management and staff of St. Joseph's Manor for the care and compassion of our Mom over the last 6 years. Please join us in a memorial service for Ruth on Saturday May 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter the Apostle Anglican church in Elliot Lake, officiating Rev. Larry Armstrong. Following the service there will be an opportunity to reflect and commemorate Ruth's life. Light refreshments will be provided. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Manor Elliot lake Her Smile Though her smile is gone forever and her hand I cannot touch I still have so many memories Of the one I loved so much. Her memory is now my keepsake Which with I'll never part. God has her in His keeping I have her in my heart Sadly missed but never forgotten.
