Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Elliot Lake, ON. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved husband for 49 years to Flora (nee Dotter). Loving father to Samantha (Sal) Piccirillo and Melanie (Steve, pre deceased) Stokes. Adoring grandpa to Andrea, Carla, Natalie, Alex and great grandpa to 6 cherished great grandchildren. Bob will also be deeply missed by his longtime friends John Hughes and Bill Gifton. Bob enjoyed 19 years of activities including fishing, boating, golfing and travelling to Florida where he loved volunteering for the golf tournaments. The family wishes to express gratitude to the hospital staff especially the night ICU team including Dr. Prescott and Dr. Chow. A huge thank you to all the marvelous staff, PSWs at the Huron Lodge and also his nurse Lisa from Bayshore who provided him with much comfort and made his life much better in the last few years. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held in the spring, date and time to be announced. If desired donations may be made to the SAD's (Society for Animals in Distress) Sunshine Shop, Elliot Lake, ON. or to the Elliot Lake Food Bank.
