It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Gauvreau at his home in Elliot Lake on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
Pre-deceased by his father, Marcel Joseph Gauvreau, in 1973, and his mother Shirley (nee Reid) Guitard in 2016.
Loving husband of Margaret (Chadwick) of Elliot Lake. Cherished father of Mitchell Gauvreau, of Elliot lake,and Crystal Guillet (Leon) of Worthington.
Dear brother of Linda Hancock (Tom) of Oshawa, Tom Gauvreau (Wendy) of Scarborough, Janice Oram and Tim Gauvreau, both of Edmonton,and Marcel Gauvreau (Denise) of Elliot Lake. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and family gatherings. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Fish and Wildlife fund would be appreciated by the family.
