Lise Henriksen Obituary

In Loving Memory of Lise Marie Jeanne Monette Henriksen (nee Drouin) passed away at home at the age of 76. Lise grew up in a small Quebec town, St. Joseph-de-Beauce. She is predeceased by her father, Lionel Drouin and her mother Gemma Racine. There were 5 girls, Lise being the youngest. Her sisters are Monique, Pierrette, Charlotte and Denise. Lise is survived by her husband Peter, her 3 sons, Paquito, Tony, Geovany “Joey” and his wife Jennifer. There are 6 granddaughters, Maquayla, Tijuana, Savannah, Katanya, Phoenix and Clarissa, along with 2 great-grandchildren Leilani and Raiden. Lise married Peter in 1976 and moved from Quebec to Elliot Lake, Ontario. She grew to love the city. Lise was busy with the boys but also became a seamstress operating a business in town. She was a longtime contractor for the Eliot Lake Standard. Not only did she love sewing, but also painting, drywall and woodworking. We will miss her very much for her kindness, love for others and her bubbly personality. Our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to St. Joseph’s General Hospital (Palliative Care Service) OHAH with coordinating services (PSWs, Bayshore Nurses, Physio and Occupational Therapists) and Dr. William Wannan, all who helped Lise during the most difficult time of her illness. We also appreciate the help of Alternative Funeral Services. To our family in the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses who provided meals, made numerous phone calls, visits and more, thank you is not enough. There will be a Memorial Service for Lise on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (4 Dieppe Ave., Elliot Lake, ON).
