Linda Travis-Fisher

Travis-Fisher, Linda Peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home with Jesus Christ on January 26, 2026 at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born to Thomas and Mary Travis on June 17, 1950 in the village of Swansea (Toronto). Linda is survived by her brother Paul (Linda) Travis and sister Esther O’Maley. She is predeceased by her siblings Mary, Jack, Tommy, Ruth and Elizabeth. Linda was known to be an incredible kind, loving and gentle soul. She devoted her life to helping and caring for others. Linda dedicated herself to a career involving Home Care Services and later as a loving foster parent to children in care. She was a faithful Christian who was committed to serving others and spreading the gospel. Linda also enjoyed wildlife, nature, reading and countless games of scrabble. She will be deeply missed by many, but have comfort in knowing that she is “safe in the arms of Jesus”. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on February 4, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Spragge Bible Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to  St Joseph’s General Hospital Palliative Care Services in Elliot Lake. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
