Linda McEachren-Truman

September 6, 1947 ~ November 6, 2021 (age 74)

Linda Mary McEachren-Truman passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2021, aged 74, after a brave battle with colon cancer. Linda was born on September 6, 1947 in Chapleau, Ontario to the late Alice (nee Egan) and Romeo Martin.

Linda was a loving and caring woman with a deep compassion for her family and friends. She had many interests and was always learning something new, including the game of baseball, becoming a Blue Jays fan in recent years. She was a prolific reader, enjoyed keeping up with current events and would never shy away from sharing her opinion.

She was a dedicated educator having taught both elementary and secondary school, finishing her career with the Algoma District School Board where she was the Adult Education Coordinator in Blind River.

Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife and is survived by her husband of 22 years Neil Truman, her daughter Melanie McEachren and grandchildren Keegan and Keeley, sister Joan (Jim) Marshal, brother Gary Martin, sister-in-law Angela Martin, niece Heather Marshal and nephews Adam (Jennifer) Marshal, Christopher (Charlene) Martin, Andrew (Heather) Martin and David Martin, the families of Jason (Tracey) Truman and Jennifer (Devin) Kennealy and dear friend Josiane.
