Manuel,Kenneth It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Kenneth Richard Manuel on Saturday November 8, 2025, at the age of 81. Ken passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Elliot Lake, with family by his side. Kenneth Richard Manuel was the beloved husband of Doreen (Kerr) Manuel predeceased July 4, 2018. Ken will be missed by his children Paul (Doris) and Julia (Mike). He was the best grandad to Bethan (Jason), Emma (Jordan) and Chelsea and great grandad to Spencer. Ken is survived by his sister Cassie (late Tom) Griffiths. Ken was predeceased by his sister Hillary Humphries and his brother Martin Manuel. Ken moved to Canada from Wales, United Kingdom with his family in 1981 taking up residency in Elliot Lake while working as an Electrician for Rio Algom Mine. In 1990 he and Doreen moved to Guelph, ON where he lived until February 2024 returning to Elliot Lake. He loved playing golf and watching British football on television. Arsenal has lost one of their most diehard supporters. A special thank you to the staff at Hillside Park Retirement Home for taking care of him over the last year and a half. Also, a special thank you to the palliative care doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake. Ken will be returning to Guelph in the Spring of 2026 to be reunited with the love of his life Doreen. A celebration of life will take place shortly after. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
