Kenneth Joseph Jack

Jack, Kenneth Joseph February 5, 1938 – October 12, 2025 Kenneth Jack of Massey Ontario, passed away at St Joseph’s Manor , Elliot lake  in his 87 year. Son of Anna and Howard Jack (predeceased) was married for 63 years to the late Shirley Anne Jack (Wanamaker) predeceased in 2022. Father of Chris (Pat Thornton), Jennifer Wallace, Jamie (predeceased 2019) Grandpa of Troy, Caitlin, Madison, (Jesse predeceased 2016). Great grandpa to Jace. Brother of Ron (Linda) predeceased by Patricia, Margaret, Robert, June and Doug . Ken leaves behind many nieces and nephews of the Jack and Wanamaker families. Ken worked in the early 70’s for Cecutti’+s Bakery known for the bread delivery guy in the north, he went on to work for INCO and Rio Algom Mines. Due to some health issues he was forced into early retirement, until working for the Espanola/Sudbury OPP detachment as a jail guard from Jan 1999- Feb 2003. Ken was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus in Espanola. Ken was a volunteer for numerous charities. He was a driver for the VON, Meals on wheels, Children Aid Society and the Canadian Cancer Society. He was an avid sports fan from playing fastball, umpiring, coaching, curling, bowling, and watching his beloved Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. He was born in Southern Ontario but loved living in the north for camping, fishing and farming. For the past two years his home was at St Josephs’ Manor, he loved all of the nurses, psw's and numerous staff members. We cannot thank the Manor enough for all the love and comfort they gave our dad, he was really loved there. It was the best place for him, the Staff was awesome. A Memorial mass will be held Saturday November 1st at 11 a.m. at St Francis of Assisi Church in Walford a Luncheon to follow at the Walford Community Centre. Memorial donations in Ken s name can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
