It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Isabel Kirkland by way of Cancer. Born May 10th, 1949 in Owen Sound, Ontario. She dedicated years of her life to the Birchmere Residential Hotel until her time at the Huronia Regional Centre in Service and Care of others when she continued her passion to please the many and pursue a dream of business ownership at Almenara En El Rio Marina and Campground. Jean worked tirelessly to ensure those around her knew that they were loved, protected and would be watched over. Survived by her husband of 38 years Russell, her children; Scott (Sherri), Kim (Richard), Marnie (Jay), her grandchildren; Storm, Matthew, Kelsey, Cody, Liam, Tristan Elias, Tyler, Cassandra, Andrew, Austin, Allexx, Maddison, Talis, Tristan Newton, pre-deceased by Dawson. Survived by four great grand-children Tyson, Zachary, Logan and Finley. Her sister Lois (Seamus), brothers Wayne (Cheryl), Keith (Jo) and many other additional family members. Jean will be remembered for her love of her foster children, dancing and her cabin in the hills of New Denmark, NB.,long ATV Trips and the only grandma in the world who still loved snow tubing in her 70’s. Her Strength and uncompromising selfhood will forever hold us in awe. A private gathering will take place at a date to be determined.
