Janice Harriet Major

Major, Janice It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Janice Major on May 18, 2025. Janice died from cancer after a 2 year battle, in St Joseph’s General Hospital, Elliot Lake Hospice Suite, with her husband by her side. Janice is survived by her loving husband Brian, having been 25 years married and 28 years together. Her mother Evelyn Flint (late Roy Garrah), sister Jane Imhoff (Ken),brother John Garrah (Debbie), predeceased by her sister Judith Ball (late James).Janice was truly devoted in every sense of the word, her love was unconditional. Janice touched the hearts of many as she enjoyed life to the fullest. She was kind and caring and showed compassion to everyone. She especially had a fondness for children, seniors and animals of all species. Janice enjoyed countless hours with her husband in the outdoors, whether it was for walks, boating, fishing or riding in the side x side. Janice loved nature’s beauty. Janice’s fight with cancer was a tough battle and full of agonizing pain. She never gave up, always had a smile because she knew she was loved by so many. A celebration of life will be held sometime this summer. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
