Ilean Brown

BROWN, Ilean Faye (January 7, 1954 – March 30, 2025) With broken hearts, we regretfully announce the sudden death of Ilean Brown at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario. Beloved daughter of the late Irene Maksymiw and the late Peter Maksymiw of Elliot Lake. Dear sister of the late Yvette Duquette and the late Alvin (Betty) Maksymiw. Dearly loved wife of Grant Brown. Cherished mother to Jason (Stacey) Oakes, Brandi (Tony) Morano and step-mother to Jerry (Lianne) Brown, and Erin (Andy) Stasko. Grandmother to Dylan, Cassandra (Kevin), Nicki, Shaylan, Jared, Aidan, Jessy, and Rhys. Great-grandmother to Bronson and baby McDonell on-the-way. Ilean had big love for her family and friends and will forever be missed. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2pm at Gentle Shepherd Christian Church in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Special thanks to the ER staff at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake and the ICU staff at Health Sciences North in Sudbury for providing such compassionate care. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
