On April 12, 2022, Herb passed away unexpectedly leaving behind his wife of 60 plus years, Marilyn (nee Carson), four children, Lauri (Brad), Sheri (Julien), Randy (Catherine), Victoria (Andu), nine grandchildren, Ryan (Crystal), Nikki (Dane), Brooke (Kerry), Madison, Dakota (Libby), Corey (Josie), Shanice, Cassandra, Benjamin, and four great-grandchildren, Greyson, Lincoln, Hudson, and Griffin. He will also be missed by their fur baby, Miss Keshia. Herb is predeceased by his father, David, mother, Grace (nee Geddes), brother, David, and sister, Patricia (Henderson). Herb served four years with the American Air Force, four years with the Canadian Army, and 35 years as a civil engineer with the Department of National Defence. Herb also worked with the Commissionaires for many years post-retirement, as well as with Retirement Living in Elliot Lake. Herb loved the outdoors and was an avid sports enthusiast, as a participant, a coach, and a spectator. Herb will be sadly missed by many.
