Puzak,Henry With deep sadness, the family of Henry John Puzak announces his unexpected passing at Espanola Regional Hospital. With his family by his side, Henry passed peacefully in the early morning of Wednesday, April 29th, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Charlene Puzak for over 46 years, Henry was a devoted partner and family man. He is now reunited with his late daughters, Shelby-Mae and Tia Lorraine. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Tamara-Lee and Melissa. Henry was a proud and loving grandfather to Oliver Cloud, Ember-Rose, Weston, and Penelope-Rae, who brought him endless joy and laughter. Born on April 3, 1951, he was predeceased by his parents, Mary Puzak-Kragiel and Peter Puzak.
He is survived by his twin brother Richard Puzak (Yvonne), and his siblings Irene Schillemore (late George), Daniel Puzak (Penny), Peter Puzak (Deborah Anne), and Stanley Puzak (Suzanne), along with many nephews and his niece. Henry was a hardworking man who spent years in the mines and later became a well-respected bodyman, eventually owning and operating his own business until illness prevented him from continuing the work he loved. He took great pride in his craft and the reputation he built. Known for his spicy, colourful language and a very strong personality, Henry also had a love-hate relationship with the Montreal Canadiens. He was happiest in simple, meaningful moments, whether it was tinkering with vehicles in his garage enjoying ZZ Top & Pink Floyd or relaxing with a drink in hand. Henry had a deep love for the outdoors. He spent many years fishing and hunting, and he cared about wildlife and conservation, always holding a strong stance against animal cruelty. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, playing pool, camping, boating, and spending endless summers at South Bay Park.
His grandchildren will always remember visits with Grandpa, especially his blue tractor, his conspiracy theories, his proud thumbs-up, and the excitement of showing him their latest snake-catching adventures. Henry faced many challenges throughout his life, including years of health struggles. We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with loved ones and the many dogs and cats who were part of his life over the years. Keeping with Henry's wishes, there will be no service, and cremation has taken place. Due to Henry's big heart when it came to animals, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Muddy Paw's account at Elliot Lake Veterinarian Clinic. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services. We hope you are relaxing in the sky with a drink in your hand and a dog at your side. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
