It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing away of Harold Vidito after a courageous battle with COPD, with his son, Harold Jr., by his side on July 19, 2021, at the age of 82 in Elliot Lake. Beloved husband and caregiver of Connie. Harold is survived by his four children; Kim (Don) Gillis of Elliot Lake, Harold Jr of Elliot Lake, Darrell Vidito Kitchnen, Troy Vidito (Kim) of Sudbury, ON. Sister Sally Dea of Ridgeway. Survived also by four grandchildren.
Harold was born in Timmins on June 4, 1939. In 1958, Harold and his wife Connie settled in Elliot Lake and began a new life. Denison Mines was Harold's employer for 32 years and he retired in 1993. Harold was a former member of the Knight of Columbus and served a term as a Grand Knight. He was initiated in 1963.
A funeral mass will be held at Ste. Bernadette Parish on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11 AM. Cremation has already taken place and internment following the mass will be in a niche at Woodland Cemetery, Elliot Lake. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
