Gisele Marie Labreche

The Labreche family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Gisele Labreche (née Trottier), at the age of 85. Gisele passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the hospice wing.

Gisele was a beloved member of the community and appreciated for the countless hours she spent serving others as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) since 1990. Her dedications to her patients and her kind spirit will be her lasting legacy.

She is survived by her three children; Jocelyne (Joce) Labreche, Ghislain (Gus) Labreche and Eric Labreche (Lisa). She was the proud grandmother of six; Chris, Kyle, Robert, Jordan, Manon and William Labreche.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Doctor Bouchard and the exceptional nursing staff in the emergency department, ICU and hospice wing for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in Gisele’s memory to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation (recipient for ecard: eric.labreche@icloud.com. Please include your name so family can thank you).

Visitation will be held 11-1 on May 23, 2026 at Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
