Francesco Benito Congi

Francesco Benito Congi passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at the age of 89.

Predeceased by his parents, Antonio Congi and Maria-Teresa Biafora, as well as his brothers Giovanni, Luigi, and Salvatore, and his sister Francesca Scalise. He is survived by his brother Leonardo.

Beloved husband of Giuseppina Congi. Devoted father of Maria-Teresa, Antonio, Salvatore, and Eugenia (Daniel Lapointe).

Cherished grandfather of Giovanni Battista (son of Maria-Teresa); Samantha, Pamela, Benito, Vittorio, and Giuseppe (children of Antonio); Jayden and Alexie (children of Salvatore); and Justin, Tatyana, and Xavier (children of Eugenia).

Proud great-grandfather of Mya, Hailey, and Chance (children of Pamela).

Benito will be remembered for his deep love of family, his strength of character, his entrepreneurial spirit, and the lasting impact he had on everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, hard work, and cherished memories that will continue to live on through his family.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Mass will be held at Ste. Bernadette Parish, Elliot Lake on April 18 at 11 AM.
