Esther Marie Mailloux

Mailloux, Esther Marie (Ritchie Phillips) passed peacefully at Espanola Hospital with family surrounding her on August 1st, 2023. Born February 13th, 1953 to Helen Laundriault (2013) and Adelard Ritchie. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph Mailloux of Spansh. Predeceased bu Leslie Phillips (2008) and Rod Lapointe (1974). She will be missed by her daughters, Diane Morrow (Ralph), Michelle Whalen (Henry) and Amanda Phillips (Bobby). Predeceased by her son and daughter, Leonard; Tyra Lapointe, also remembered by her step children, Eric (Lynda), Melissa (Darcy), Wesley (Ainsley), Nancy, Blaine, Jeremy, Melanie, Amanda (Brad) and Kristy (Nick). Proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Esther is survived by her siblings Vivian Graham (Robert), Lorna Guenette (Jerome), Connie Gunness (Art Predeceased) Ron Mailloux and Gina Zinger (Robin). Predeceased Danny Ritchie (Karen Guadette) and Marlene Sagetcheway (Edward). Esther will be missed by her dearest and most treasured friend Cheryl Ede and numerous family and friends. She has warn many hats over the years in Walford and Spanish communities as a business owner, parts lady, waitress and grocery store clerk. Esther lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with family and friends and gardening. Esther has left a special mark on the lives of those she has touched. A celebration of life will be held at the Walford Community Centre. Saturday September 23,2023 from 10- 3 pm. Rev. John Faulkner offciating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services, Elliot Lake.
