Elizabeth Victoria Stewart

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Elizabeth Victoria Stewart on Dec 21 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elliot Lake. Elizabeth passed peacefully with her husband Charles and daughter Lori-Anne by her side.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband and partner of 55 years Charles William Stewart, and her children David (Lynne) Stewart and Lori-Anne Young. She was a very proud grandmother to D.J. (Becky) Stewart, Ethan Young, and Tiberius Rose. Elizabeth was also survived by her elder sister Carolyn (Georg) Madsen, brother Christopher Carter, and her nieces Melanie Madsen and Monica (Tom) Shields.

Elizabeth was an amazing, selfless and caring lady. She was an award winning, innovative leader with the RBC, until her retirement in 2006, and was loved by all of her employees and peers. She loved watching her game shows, cuddling her pets and spending time with her family.

The family wishes to thank the incredible nursing staff of the Emergency Department and ICU of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elliot Lake. A special thank-you to Dr. Cathy Groh for her outstanding care and compassion during these difficult times we live in. As per Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no funeral. The family will host a celebration of her life in the summer of 2022.
