Edmund Bouchard Obituary

Bouchard, Edmund Charles The family of Edmund Charles Bouchard (born July 22, 1958) are sad to announce his sudden passing on January 27, 2026. Though Ed worked for more than four decades in the mining industry in many parts of Canada, Blind River (Granary Lake specifically) was always home. He made many lasting friendships at the various mines who will all certainly feel his loss. Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed flying his plane especially to his fly-in camps. He was well known to the Granary Lake community and always had time for a friendly chat or to help someone out. Ed is predeceased by his parents James and Laurette (Lacasse) Bouchard and survived by his brothers Ernest and Jody (Deena). He was loved by his many nieces and nephews: Kim (Chris), Dave (Kristin), Larissa (Romik), Joel (Samantha), Nathaniel, Jessika, Emily, David, Noah and Autumn. Ed will be missed by all his family and friends near and far. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dan Gosselin and his family. To honour Ed’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
