It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Earnest Frederict Clarke, who passed away Friday December 8th 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Earnest Frederict Clarke of North Sydney Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Elliot Lake, at the age of 73. Pre-deceased by his mother Katherine Marie Mackinnon Clarke of Florence Cape Breton, father Earnest Steven Clarke of Carbonear NewFoundland , Sister Rita Bond of Cape Breton , and Step daughter Anna Wawia of Elliot Lake. Survived by his wife Lorraine Folz. Siblings Rodina, Bernice, Linda, Lillian, Tonia, Donna, Theresa, Robert, and Danny. His Children Chris Clarke, Amanda Clarke (Jarid), Ernest Clarke, Jonathan Clarke (Melissa). Step-Children Patricia Folz, Samantha Provost (RJ), Matthew Provost, Alex Provost (Tessa), Daniel Wawia. His many grandchildren Nash, Keagan, Owen, Kali, Klayton, Nash, Courtney, Brayden, Kiara, Aubrey.

Greatly missed by many other family and friends. Earnest was a tough man who loved to tell jokes, he was intelligent, had a mouth like a sailor, an impeccable memory, he was a man with many skills, who cherished those close to him.

The family is asking for donations to the cancer research society. There will be no official service held as those were his wishes.
