Dufresne Joseph

It's with sadden hearts and many loving memories we announce the passing of Joseph Jean Guy Dufresne on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Elliot Lake, Ontario. John was 89. He was born in Montreal where he met and married his late wife Pierrette (Melnick). They began their life together travelling through Europe and then Canada while he worked as an electrician for the Air Force, including working on the Dew Line, then later settling in Labrador City where they continued to raise their four children. His retirement years were then spent in Elliot Lake where he enjoyed fishing, skiing and walking in the outdoors while forming many meaningful friendships and passing acquaintances. He is survived by his children, Christine, Steven, Charles and Gilbert and grandchildren Bryan and Rance.
