Donna Morris

Beloved mother, friend, and owner of Oak Realty Ltd., passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2024. Born and raised in the United States, Donna found her true home in Northern Ontario, particularly in Elliot Lake, where she became a cornerstone of the community through her many municipal achievements and contributions. Donna is survived by her daughter, Mariah Meawasige; son, Riley Morris; two stepsons, Nishin and Leon Meawasige; and her beloved dog, Ash “Fluffy.” A devoted mother, Donna was always ready to lend her heart and home to anyone in need of a hot meal or a warm place to sleep. She fiercely pursued her goals, including the founding and success of her cherished real estate brokerage, Oak Realty. Donna was happiest on the lake or riding her ATV with Fluffy by her side. She was a loving, courageous, and comforting woman who never shied away from being unapologetically herself. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered their support during the past months, including the staff and friends at Oak Realty, as well as the healthcare professionals at both St. Joseph’s General Hospital and Health Sciences North. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
