Dianne Leona Maude (Whyte) Roost

It with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dianne on January 22, 2023 at the age of 79, with family and friends by her side. Loving wife to Heinz Roost of 39 years. Beloved mother to Kelly Burke. Proud Nanny to Kaleigh (Darren) Martell Malone and Reilly (Isaac) Martell-Watt. Sister to Daniel Whyte. Predeceased by Jack Burke. Stepmother to Renie Burke, Lindsay Burke, Tom Burke (late), and Dennis Burke. Devoted and dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. She was loved by so many, and will be very missed by family and friends all over the world.

Dianne was known as a generous, loving, kind and joyful person, whose faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering. She enjoyed expressing her creativity and wonder through knitting, scrapbooking, and colouring. She was a lover of laughter, going out for lunch or tea with her girlfriends, getting her hair and nails done, attending prayer group and Bible study, and sharing countless stories about her granddaughters.

Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the medical staff at St Joseph’s Hospital ICU, for taking care of her and making her comfortable during her final days on Earth. Her Celebration of Life will be held at Gentle Shepherd Church on Monday, January 30th at 11am, which can also be attended virtually on the Gentle Shepherd Facebook page.
