Miller ,Dennis It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dennis Miller, who left us on December 6th, 2025, in Elliot Lake. Born on August 25th, 1935, in Gaspé Bay, Quebec, Dennis lived a life marked by dedication, service, and profound community spirit. Dennis’s journey was one of adventure and commitment. His early career led him to Elliot Lake, where he worked at Denison Mines before transitioning to a role at their Employment office, where he helped countless people. He later moved west to Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, to work at Quintet Coal, before returning to the familiar embrace of Elliot Lake. It was here that he found his beloved partner, Hillka, whom he married, enriching his life with companionship and love. A cornerstone of his community, Dennis was a man who believed in giving back. He was a very active and dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering support and hope to many. His commitment extended to various organizations, including The Lions Club and the The Optimist Club, where he tirelessly volunteered his time. Furthermore, The Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels benefited greatly from his caring and compassionate service. Dennis will be remembered for his loving heart, his unwavering kindness, and his dedication to making the world a better place for those around him. His legacy of service and goodwill will continue to inspire all who knew him. He is survived by; his children Steven and Denny; his step-sons Alan and Christopher; his sisters Marlene, Zada, Nina, and Aida; and his grandchildren Natalie, Todd, Brant, Amber, Kylee, Tylor, Tanner, Aiden, and Brady. He will be deeply missed by his entire family, friends, and the community he served so faithfully. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
