Daniel Wawia

December 2nd, 1975 – February 18th, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Daniel Wawia, who passed suddenly on February 18th, 2025, peacefully in his sleep. Daniel Wawia of Lake Helen Nipigon, ON and Elliot Lake ON., passed away at the age of 49, predeceased by his Mother Suzanne Bouchard of Court Malactic Quebec, Father Dave Wawia of Lake Helen Nipigon ON and Sister Anna Wawia of Elliot Lake, ON. Survived by his children Courtney Wawia-Cyr and Nash Wawia, brother Jonathan Clarke (Melissa), grand-daughter Axia, Nieces and Nephew Kiara, Aubrey, and Brayden. He will be greatly missed by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Dan was a quiet man who loved his family and sports and cherished his time with those close to him. Dan will especially be remembered by many for his great pitching skills. He was a smart, funny and caring man who will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of life held in honor of Dan on March 29th, 2025 at the moose lodge at 26 Oakland Blvd. Elliot Lake, from 1-5 pm.
