Anna Hamernick

With profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Anna on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Hillside Park Retirement Residence, at the age of 97.

Beloved wife of the late Peter (1999). Cherished mother of Linda (John), Allan (Susan), and Bill. She will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Jamie Lynn McKinley (John) and Karen MacKinnon (Alex), and by her great granddaughters, Scotlyn and Kadence.

Anna embraced her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend with joy, grace, and unwavering kindness. Her family is deeply grateful for the love she shared so generously throughout her life. She will remain forever loved and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hillside Park for their exceptional care and compassion, to the Bayshore team, to Dr. Prescott, and to the dedicated staff of the Elliot Lake Family Health Team and St. Joseph’s Hospital for the care and support provided over the years.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
