Allan Yake

Yake, Allan With sadness, we announce the passing of Allan (Al) Yake. Al was born September 29, 1947 in Toronto to Charles and Agnes Yake, both pre deceased. He is survived by his loving Wife Cheryl, daughter Karrie & grandson Kade, son Corey, beloved sisters Judith and Suzanne. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Al was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in all seasons with family and friends. An electrician by trade, Al's career was spent in mining across Northern Ontario at Rio Algom Panel Mine in Elliot Lake and Williams Gold Mine in Marathon where he also spent a considerable amount of time as the Captain of their Mine Rescue teams. Al passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Elliot Lake on February 2, 2026. A Masonic funeral service will occur at the Masonic Heritage Hall in Elliot Lake, Saturday February 7, 2026 at 2pm with light lunch to follow.
